Master the Art of Bonsai
If you would like to learn the basics of this beautiful art and create some masterpieces of your own, consider enrolling in one of our classes:
Cost Per Person And Registration:
E-mail us at E-mail for class schedule and full prices. The fee includes GST plus tuition, soil, fertiliser and wire up to 3ml. For Beginners Classes. Students in all other classes must bring their own materials. All necessary pots, trees etc can be purchased at the nursery.
Fees cover one person, please don't ask to bring friends or pets. Full payment must be made in advance to secure a booking. Refunds given up to eight days prior to commencement date.

To register a student must book and pay:
- at least 2 weeks prior to commencement for classes; and
- 1 week prior for workshops.
Confirmation of the class will be given to participants two days before commencement. If there are insufficient bookings for a class to proceed it will be cancelled and fees will either be returned or transferred to the next available class. Whichever is the client's preference. Unfortunately we do not always have the time to personally telephone all people who have enquired about our classes and the only way to be sure of securing a place in a class is to pay for it. No positions are held without payment.

Limit Per Class:
Maximum of 6 people per class so as to ensure each participant receives lots of individual attention.

Beginners:
Students learn about soils, fertilisers, rootpruning and shaping the five basic styles, They complete and take home four trees.
Intermediate:
Style Root over Rock, Literati, Windswept. Raft and Twin Trees
Advanced:
Complete Saikei (Rocks and trees representing a mountain scene) Groups and Woodcarving.
Please note: students buy their own trees and pots to work on and are theirs to keep after the courses.
Objectives:
On completion each student should have a basic understanding of how to select, shape and pot the bonsai described in the appropriate section.
Tutor:
Carole Waller has over 25 years experience in the Art of Bonsai and has completed several courses including a Certificate course from the Koreshoff Nursery which is a registered branch of the Nippon Bonsai Society of Japan and workshops with the Late Mr Tom Yamamoto.
